About Me
Yoga, for me, is not merely a physical exercise, but a bridge that connects the mind and the body. In ancient teachings, physical practices are used to prepare the body, calm the mind, and guide it toward a meditative state. The more balanced and flexible the body becomes, the more open and focused the mind can be. In my classes, the goal is not to achieve perfect poses, but to release the tensions and blockages stored in the body, creating space for a deeper level of awareness. In this way, one can approach a meditative state more naturally and sustainably. My vision is to present yoga in its simplest, most accessible, and authentic form, and to create space for people to build a stronger connection with themselves.
Biography
I’m Simge. I completed my yoga training in India with a 200-hour RYT certification, focusing on Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. I’ve developed my practice not only in studio environments but also by deepening it across different geographies and cultural settings. My yoga journey began even before my certification. While living in London and during my time in Europe, I offered one-on-one sessions to people around me, guided by my personal practice and the techniques I developed. I also volunteered in Nepal and Bali, teaching yoga and meditation to children in schools. Alongside this, I engaged with various communities with the intention of sharing yoga in a more accessible and simplified way. My practice incorporates pranayama (breathwork), ancient Indian breathing techniques, and meditation practices using different mudras. Currently, I continue to teach yoga through both one-on-one and online sessions, with a particular focus on beginners.
